The Fertile VoidĀ is a realm we all find ourselves in now and again.Ā If you've ever been through a big transition, felt lost, confused or uncertain - you've entered this liminal space. Some call itĀ The Void, someĀ The Abyss,Ā others simplyĀ The Unknown -Ā whatever name we ascribe to it, this realm welcomes us all equally in times of, change, bewilderment and disorientation. It's a beautiful and non-judgemental place.Ā
However,Ā the rubĀ is that in our modern society, we're told that feeling lost and uncertain isĀ badĀ and that we shouldĀ alwaysĀ have all the answers. This leads us to fearing The Void and any uncomfortable emotions we may be experiencing. We're encouraged to jump from one thing to another, to distract ourselves - to doĀ anythingĀ to avoid feeling an existential twinge.
HoweverĀ - the longer we remain in The Void, the more we realize we can relax and thatĀ there's nothing to fear in liminal spaces. In fact, a liminal space is downrightĀ FERTILE. It is:
